The Isle of Skye, located off the northwest coast of Scotland, is renowned for its stunning landscapes and iconic landmarks that attract photographers from around the world. Here are just a few:
Old Man of Storr: One of Skye’s most famous and distinctive scenes, offering dramatic views and opportunities for stunning photographs.
Quiraing: A landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the Quiraing offers jaw-dropping views across the Trotternish Ridge and surrounding landscape.
Fairy Pools: These enchanting pools, located near Glenbrittle, are known for their crystal-clear waters and picturesque waterfalls.
Neist Point Lighthouse: Perched on the westernmost point of Skye, the Neist Point Lighthouse offers panoramic views of rugged cliffs, the sea, and the surrounding landscape.
Glencoe is a region in the Scottish Highlands, and is a photographer’s paradise with its dramatic landscapes, rugged mountains, and serene lochs. Here are just some of the places to photograph:
Buachaille Etive Mòr: This iconic mountain is one of the most photographed in Scotland.
Three Sisters of Glencoe: These three peaks provide a fantastic backdrop for photography, especially when framed against the ever changing light.
Rannoch Moor: This vast expanse of moorland offers sweeping vistas and dramatic skies.
Glen Etive: This stunning glen is often featured in movies and offers dreamy winding rivers, waterfalls, and mountains to photograph.
As well as all this fabulous landscape, there will be the chance to photograph some of Scotland’s lovely historic sites such as Eilean Donan Castle. Scotland has a rich and fascinating history and is littered with some of the most beautiful castles in all of the UK.
