What to photograph on our Kenya Photo Safari & Tour

Samburu National Park

The Park is one of Kenya's most unique and fascinating wildlife reserves, located in the northern part of the country, about 350 kilometers from Nairobi. It is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River, which is the lifeblood of the area, attracting a diverse array of wildlife.

The landscape is primarily semi-arid, with dry, dusty plains and sparse vegetation, but it has a distinct charm and is home to a number of endemic and rare species.

Meru National Park

Meru National Park sits in Kenya's northeast, where the land shifts between open grassland, dense riverine forest, and papyrus-fringed waterways fed by a dozen rivers draining off Mount Kenya. That variety of habitat is exactly what makes it rewarding for photographers. Reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, and oryx move through the drier edges, while the forested corridors hold buffalo, elephant, and leopard.

Meru is also one of the few parks in Kenya with a healthy population of both black rhino and white rhino, and the relative seclusion of the park means encounters here feel genuinely wild — no convoy of vehicles, no radio chatter directing every lens to the same spot.

Wildlife in Kenya
Masai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara is one of the most famous and stunning wildlife reserves in Kenya, located in the southwestern part of the country, near the border with Tanzania. It forms the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park, and is part of the larger Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. Masai Mara is renowned for its role in the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. Every year, millions of these animals move between the Mara and the Serengeti, crossing the perilous Mara River, where they often encounter crocodiles and other predators.

People and Culture

The Maasai, a Nilotic ethnic group, reside in northern, central, and southern Kenya, and are a captivating culture.

During our journey, we'll have the unique opportunity to spend time with them, gaining insights into their way of life and capturing memorable photographs of this distinctive community.
