Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Croatia’s largest national park covering almost 30,000 hectares, is situated in the lower elevations of the Dinarides in the central part of the country. The park contains 16 interconnecting lakes that vary in color from emerald green to turquoise to deep blue, depending on mineral content and lighting conditions. The exceptional natural beauty of this area has always attracted nature lovers and photographers alike. During this photographic journey, we will walk along the wooden pathways and trails to capture the stunning waterfalls, clear blue lakes, cloudy reflections, and spectacular rock formations.

We will guide you to get to the most incredible waterfall images, show you how to capture a bird’s eye view of the park, and take you to the Veliki Slap viewpoint for the picture postcard view of Plitvice Lakes. During this 4-day workshop you will learn different techniques to photograph the lakes and waterfalls and return home with some outstanding images. The tuition will cover composition, shutter speeds, working with filters, apertures, and understanding histograms. We will also have post-processing sessions to review your images.

All levels of photography are catered for; whether you are a hobby enthusiast, an iPhone shooter, or a seasoned professional looking for new photographic opportunities.

All locations and viewpoints are accessible along wooden boardwalks and trails. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.

Best place to fly to is Zagreb Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, check for flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air or Ryanair.
