Discover Namibia’s iconic destinations and explore one of Africa’s best-kept secrets for photographers. Namibia is the soul of Africa, characterized by vast open spaces, breathtaking scenery and great contrasts – ocean, dunes, mountains and deserts. Thanks to its beautiful, ever-changing landscape, a safari in Namibia is unique and differs greatly from anything else you’ll experience in Africa.

Among the many animals which you can see in Namibia are: lions, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, cheetas, black and white rhinos, wildebeest, hyenas, vultures, black backed jackals, ostriches, zebras, seals, dikdiks (a tiny antelope species), baboons, springboks, wild dogs, kudus and oryx.

Namibia certainly has a flair for the dramatic -from open desert landscapes to the wild dunes and the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park, no feature falls short of spectacular. So imposing it gave its name to the entire country, the Namib is the world’s oldest desert, with a great sand sea stretching for hundreds of kilometres in every direction. Join us for an adventure of a lifetime!

For wildlife photography with a full-frame DSLR or mirrorless camera, it’s recommended to bring telephoto lenses (and possibly converters) that span the 100-600mm range, and even more if you’re interested in capturing small to medium-sized birds. Most mammal shots are typically taken within the 200-400mm range. Additionally, having a wide-angle lens around 24mm is ideal for landscape photography, while focal lengths up to 70mm can be advantageous for river crossings and other scenarios.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain , and some locations are a bit hilly. Bumpy, uneven roads at times in the Safari vehicle.
