Join us for an unforgettable 9-day photography tour and workshop through some of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring landscapes — from the historic streets of Edinburgh to the rugged beauty of Glencoe and the mystical Isle of Skye.
Throughout this journey, we’ll explore and photograph some of the country’s most photogenic scenes: dreamy waterfalls, fiery sunsets, traditional fishing villages, ancient castles, turquoise fairy pools, shimmering lochs, and dramatic mountain vistas. Every location has been carefully chosen to offer rich photographic opportunities and hands-on instruction in the art of landscape photography.
Our adventure begins in Edinburgh, where we’ll meet for an informal welcome and orientation at our hotel before heading out for our first evening shoot in the city. With its rich history, elegant architecture, winding cobblestone alleys, and a castle perched atop an ancient volcano, Edinburgh provides a magical introduction to Scotland. The following morning, we’ll capture the city’s landmarks bathed in the soft light of dawn before setting off toward the majestic Scottish Highlands.
Glencoe will be our home for the next three nights. Surrounded by soaring peaks, moody glens, and mirror-like lochs, this area offers some of the most iconic scenery in the Highlands. We’ll photograph locations such as Castle Stalker, the Cauldron Falls, Buachaille Etive Mòr, Lochan na h-Achlaise, and the Black Mount. The scenic Glen Etive road — immortalized in the James Bond film Skyfall — will lead us through a tapestry of breathtaking views and endless creative inspiration.
On our way north to the Isle of Skye, we’ll stop to photograph Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most recognized and romantic landmarks. Perched on a small tidal island where three lochs meet, its reflection in the still waters creates one of the most iconic images in the Highlands.
Next, we journey to the legendary Isle of Skye, where we’ll spend three nights exploring one of the most dramatic and photogenic destinations in the world. Known as the “Cloud Island,” Skye enchants with its towering peaks, rugged coastline, and ever-changing light. We’ll photograph iconic sites such as the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, Neist Point, Elgol, Cill Chriosd, and the colorful harbor of Portree. Every turn reveals new possibilities for composition, texture, and mood.
As we make our way back to Edinburgh, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Highlands, reflecting on an inspiring week of photography and exploration. Our journey concludes with an overnight stay near Edinburgh Airport, where we’ll share one final meal and bid farewell to new friends and unforgettable memories.
This tour offers an inspiring blend of instruction, exploration, and creativity — a chance to refine your photographic skills while experiencing the soul-stirring beauty of Scotland.
