What to photograph on our Morocco Photography Tour

Morocco
Tanneries of Fez

Morocco is a land of wonder and distinct heritage. One of many attractions to see in morocco is the Tanneries of fez located in the old town more specifically in the oldest Medina quarter of the city called Fes el-Bali.

Tanning in Fez and the process behind this tradition that has withstood the test of time. A multitude of hides such as goat, sheep, cow, camel, and many more all processed by hand through manual labor forming a more than 1000 years tradition of true labor of love, passion, and pride.

Morocco
The Sahara Desert

Venture into one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on Earth: the Sahara Desert. This photography-focused tour takes you deep into the heart of Morocco’s golden sand dunes, through dramatic oases, ancient kasbahs, and vibrant Berber culture.

Whether you're a professional photographer or an avid hobbyist, this adventure will allow you to capture the desert’s stunning diversity — from the soft light of dawn on sweeping dunes to the star-filled skies above.

Morocco
Historic Medina's

The medinas are a photographer's paradise, offering endless photo opportunities. The souks alone could fill a memory card: stalls piled with saffron and paprika, leather goods dyed in ancient tanneries, lanterns casting warm geometric shadows across tiled walls. The light inside a medina behaves differently than almost anywhere else — filtered, bounced, and broken by the dense overhead architecture.

Wander through the winding alleys of Fez, Marrakech, and Chefchaouen, where centuries-old traditions blend with the rhythm of modern life. Each city has its own visual personality: Fez is labyrinthine and medieval, its narrow derbs barely wide enough for two people to pass, while Marrakech pulses with color and noise around every corner of the Djemaa el-Fna.

Chefchaouen, Morocco
Moroccan Architecture

Step back in time with stunning shots of the iconic mud-brick kasbahs, which stand as a testament to Morocco's unique earthen architecture. Aït Benhaddou is the most photogenic example — layered fortresses the color of desert sand that catch the warm oblique light of early morning and late afternoon in ways that make every frame feel cinematic.

Experience the unique beauty of the Blue City with its azure-painted buildings, narrow alleys, and vibrant textures, perfect for capturing the fusion of color and light. Chefchaouen, tucked into the Rif Mountains, shifts from pale sky to deep cobalt depending on the surface, the hour, and the angle of the sun — meaning the same alleyway yields a completely different image at 7am than it does at noon.
