A Kenya safari tour is one of the most iconic wildlife experiences in the world, offering visitors the chance to explore stunning landscapes and observe a wide variety of animals in their natural habitats.
Highlights of this tour include:
Lake Nakuru National Park- the park is famous for its vast flocks of flamingos, as well as its populations of rhinos (both black and white), waterbucks, and giraffes. Lake Nakuru’s mix of forest, grasslands, and wetlands also makes it ideal for bird watchers.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy- Ol Pejeta is one of the best places in Kenya to see the critically endangered black rhino. It’s also home to a chimpanzee sanctuary and offers a more private, conservation-focused safari experience.
Samburu National Reserve- Located in the semi-arid region of northern Kenya, Samburu is known for its unique species that aren’t typically found in other parts of the country. The reserve is home to the “Samburu Five,” a collection of rare animals like the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the Somali ostrich.
Lake Naivasha- Lake Naivasha is known for its rich biodiversity. It is home to a variety of bird species, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers. Over 400 species of birds have been recorded around the lake, including waterfowl, herons, and the endangered African Fish Eagle. The lake also supports a variety of wildlife, such as hippos, which are a common sight, as well as numerous species of fish and other aquatic life.
Sheldrick Trust Nairobi Nursery- At the heart of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s conservation activities is the Orphans’ Project, which has achieved world-wide acclaim through its hugely successful elephant and rhino rescue and rehabilitation program.
