General Guidelines
Modest clothing is appreciated, especially in rural areas and religious sites.
Women: cover shoulders, cleavage, and knees. Flowy pants, maxi skirts, shawls, and light blouses work well.
Men: avoid sleeveless shirts; lightweight pants or chinos are ideal.
Light layers are key — Morocco’s weather varies widely between cities, mountains, and desert.
Natural fabrics like cotton and linen keep you cool and comfortable.
- Comfortable walking shoes or sandals for sightseeing.
- Light jacket, sweater, or shawl — temperatures drop sharply at night
