Plitvice Lakes National park was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 in recognition of its outstanding natural value. It is protected by strict conservation measures to preserve the ecological integrity of the area.
The lakes sit in the mountainous region of Croatia, between the Mala Kapela mountain range in the west and northwest, and the Lička Plješivica range to the southeast.
The water at Plitvice Lakes spans from azure to green, gray, or blue, influenced by its mineral composition and aquatic organisms. The park showcases a succession of waterfalls, notably the renowned Veliki Slap (Great Waterfall), towering at around 78 meters (256 feet) in height.
In Slovenia Jasna Lake is surrounded by mighty mountains and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks of the Julian Alps. The lake is guarded by a statue of a Zlatorog (golden horn), the legendary chamois of Mt. Triglav.
We can explore the Plitvice park through its network of wooden boardwalks and trails that take you easily around the lakes and waterfalls. These pathways provide stunning viewpoints for us to photograph from.
Lake Bled’s best viewpoint is from a wooden boardwalk and from a point high above; we will guide you to select the best vantage point to create fabulous images.
We will guide you to get to the most incredible waterfall images and show you how to capture a bird’s eye view of the park and lakes.
The tuition will cover composition, shutter speeds, working with filters, apertures, and understanding histograms in order to capture perfect images.
